For simple Water Scenery/Effects I have always used "Flight Water Pro", since FS 2000...

It doesn't affect frame rates in any way, is simple and effective...
...trust me...
(Many others are over-the-top, and unrealistic)...!

For the sky, I am perfectly happy modifying the FS 2004 Default "Weather" Scenery... Wink...!

Thank you for the suggestion. I have fs2004 century of flight. will that work? or is that just for 2002.

Ok, here comes my opinion Tongue.

For FS2004, FS Skyworld is the only way to go.  The clouds are ultra-realistic.  Search for fsw2004.zip on Avsim.  Here's a sample:

For water textures, I like xtrawater.zip on Avsim again.  Here's a sample of this:
