Well they are there to stop cars going into the pedestrian zone or where buses are only surposed to go... so it seves them right for trying to sneak through..

Shouldn't have been there ....... the only drawback was that the front seat occupants were wearing seatbelts and the airbags deployed therefore the genepool is still contaminated.

They might be excused if they've never seen such a roadblock before, but... something tells me these folks are locals.
That's a neat little bit of hardware... only seen them at entrances to high-security loading docks, never in a road like that.
