And to add more info to the proverbial pot to get this back on track......

Airbus has been approached by persons unknown to make a A380 VIP Business jet.

The article reads.....

John Leahy, chief commercial officer of Airbus, said the company had signed a letter of intent with an undisclosed customer to supply a VIP version of its A380 superjumbo, the biggest passenger jet ever built.

Mmm, and Emirates were an early customer too. I wonder... Wink

The A380 has already had it's first flight and it was full of journalists. It was sometime this month.

And for the latest.....

UPS and Airbus have entered into a contract that will allow either side to cancel the order for 10 A380 freighters this year.

And the wait continues....

If it is ever gonna fly.....

If its better than the 787........

Is it worth the money.......

Why go all the way for a plane thats not out yet......

Who is buying and who is canceling.....

Those have all been discussed in one topic  Smiley

It has already flown...

The 787 is a different type and does not directly compete....

The money isn't the issue...

Because it was supposed to be out...

Lots of airlines...

I dunno, one wonders if this whole A380 matter has exposed flaws in EADS's management structure?  Co-CEO's?  One German and one French?  How's all that fleshing out with regard to where the layoffs will take place.  So far, there may be alot of sore Germans, because it appears the decisions are coming out of Toulouse, France.

It's an all-composite section?  Impressive.
