When playing CFS2, I can't get the target brackets to go away. Pressing shift + ` will sometimes change the target, but other than that usually doesn't do anything. I've tried changing the key commands and assigning it to buttons on my joystick, but nothing works.
I can't get the darn brackets to go away unless I shoot the guy down! I know they arent that big of a deal, but they bug me.
Has anyone else had this problem? Please help!

I don't use the target brackets for the very reasons you quoted. As far as I know, they can't be turned off unless A: The target crashes. B: The target is out of radar range.

You can also trick the program By pressing the Shift together with the T dial. That will bring up the Tactical display. Now press the T dial and you will get the options of Ships , Gound Objects and Vehicle and AC. Now change the bracket from a AC to a ground tarket. Now none of the AC will be cover by the braket.
I hope I have been helpful

I don't understand why, but for some reason, this won't work on mine. Maybe I should try to reinstall?

So after I read that last post I tried changing the tactical display and that worked.
Then after that, using shift+` worked all of a sudden. I don't know why.
For anyone who can't get shift+` to work, try messing with the tactical display and then try shift+`.
