How to install guages... (Read 694 times)

How do you install a guage that you downloaded to make it show up? I put it in my guages folder, but I have a feeling that it won't be enough.

You would have to incorporate it into a panel by editing Panel.cfg. Which gauge is it?

These files usually come with instructions. I'll check it out if I can find it. Bear in mind that it's probably incompatible with FSX.

PS. I found it. The file was created in 1998 so I would say it will definitely be incompatible with FSX.

Can I add a query here? (I'm new to forums). I've downloaded a couple of aircraft, installed them as set out in the readme files, but the panels don't show up. Neither of the planes have any instruments or cockpit interiors at all. Can anyone out there suggest what I've done wrong? Lips Sealed

Hi riever49. Are you using the VC or 2D panel view? It's possible the aircraft you've tried have no VC (interior views). Press F10 to bring up the 2D panel & see what happens.
