Oh I think they do.
Anyway. This gif image is no doubt what puts the topic over 500kb. But it's the same image repeated, and as it is only on the simv server once it cannot slow the forums down by being repeated by the amount that it would if it were a different image for each pic. So in my book you get away with it for that reason.

Yes. I would hesitate to call something as large as a Catalina an amphibian (although it is).
