Hi all

Im searching a Galvanised steel  panel texture

for my new Levasseur Pl8 v.3 of Nungesser and Coli  ( I have finaly find a cockpit picture Smiley )

that i will release for the 80 th aniversary  of the crossing of the atlantic by Nungeser and Coli in may 2007

Im serching something like that

Hello,

That looks like what we (where I live anyway) would call a machine-turned finish. Some people call it "fish scales" too. I've never tried, but you may be able to recreate the effect if you are good with PSP or photoshop. It was popular to use it on dashboards of old cars and I guess it was popular on aircraft as well. I did a quick search but only found one sample texture and you would have to pay for it. Good luck!

To correct myself - it's also commonly called "engine turned." See the Spirit of St. Louis cowling for a good example.

No link posted to bypass any copyright problems, but if you google images for "Machined Turned Steel" or variations thereof, you may come up with something useful.

Thank for the reply but its to late my panel is finisch

but i will remember that if i do an other dash

I have take the Spirit of st louis texture to made my dash ! Smiley
