When you put the link to the avatar in do you leave the [img] tags out? .... that could be the problem.

First upload a suitable image in JPEG (.jpg) or GIF (.gif) format & less than 10K & 100 pixels wide.
Then open your Profile, click the "I have my own pic" option & paste the path to the image you just uploaded without the [img] brackets into the box next to it.

I've been on this forum for a year+ and changed my avatar before, but due to my EXTREME stupidity, i simply forgot to leave them out.  Roll Eyes

(banging head against keyboard while wondering what is wrong with me)

EFL sends many thanks! Smiley

Hi Hagar

I can't get an avatar to show up either. I don't quite what you are saying "without the [img] brackets into the box next to it. [/quote]"  What exactly should the pasted path link look like. Can you show a before and after example. I think I did as you said, but it still doesn't show up.  Never had to do anything like this on the other forums I have my avatar on.

Thanks  Bob

Thanks Hagar

Finnally got it to load.  That's  a picture of my best friend Blondie.  She is very well known on some of the other forums I belong to. She's a great copilot.
