Classic Jet flight? (Read 711 times)

Hi all!

With all the fuss about averyone leaving I thought it was time to show that Simv'ers could also get together in harmony!

Now I thought the christmas holiday's would be an excellent time to do that!

I was thinking of a classic jet fly-in to keep it reasonably focussed so that all can download the nesscesary planes and such.

I am thinking of stuff like

Kirk Olsson's Sabre
Ito's Lightning and Phantom's
Maybe a Mig-19 or 15
The Hunter T7 package or one of the others
Maybe a Cf-100

And many more options!

Basically classic jet metal.

So wanna join in? State your plane of preference ( freeware) + where to get it. ( Simv if possible)

Also suggest times and maybe location?

Cheers and a merry christmas already

Soui

I'll be there, probably in a hunter or lightning or something! What about one of the old harriers? As for time... if its on a weekend maybe in the new year? Theres already an airshow before Christmas but as its the holidays maybe it could be on a week day? For the location i would reccomend Trento Mattarello (LIDT) - Lovely scenery for it over at av***.

I could possibly fly round in a air to air tanker to fuel you lot but it can't be when I have to do SimV studio work.

Hi Soui,
I know you wanted classic military jets, but I was wondering if I could fly POSKY's 747-100 (the prototype 747 model)? If not, how about a 707?

Another idea I had is that we could fly in to a certain airfield in small fleets, i.e. if there's more than 1 Harrier, they fly in together, some USAF jets fly in together, RAF jets together etc...

What do you think? Smiley

I may turn up in the Captain Sim F-104, with a freeware alternative for those who haven't got it. I would go for something British, but I've barely flown anything else since I bought the Starfighter!

Addiction would be spending all day on Flight Sim, flying the same thing. I've barely been on FS an hour a day. Wink Grin

How bout instead of making this an airshow, we just muck about flying.......I don't know about anyone else but to be honest virtual airshows can get a little tedious. If we instead do something similar to the lightning meet we did about a year ago where we all go on in classic jets and fly some formation and buzz each other en route to a specified destination i think it would be much more enjoyable Smiley

Just some thoughts   (I for one liked that lightning thing we did Grin)
