Ive read the ground school stuff and the lessons, but i still cant get the trim wheel to steady off where i want it to. is there some settings somewhere where i can make it so that it doesnt roll at all unless i tell it to. right now, i get the plane steady and level but only by pulling all the way forward or back (different situations), however, the trim wheel will be pointed almost all the way up or down, and no matter how much i sit there clicking up or down, it will try to stay where it is. What am i doing wrong?

The Cessna that the game starts teaching you with, but ive found the problem in others as well. The learjet seems to have a more stable trim wheel and will stay, more or less, where i want it.

well there are a few things that might work...1st assuming you have a joy stisk i would first do a full calibrate the stick within the sim..2nd if you are still haveing the problem iwould try different senitivity settings under aassignments on the joy stick if you are using it to trim the plane..3rd make sure the auto pilot is off ..and lastly go to assighnments and in part that has keyboard and joystick click joystick and see if there is an assignment for trim.if there is then you should go to keyboard assighnment and dseleat the keyborg assighnment and see if that works..it always is good not to have duel assighnments for controls if this dont work you may have to do a complete uninstall and the reinstall..if this dont work if may be a joythick problem...give it a shot...let me know how you did

If you have the
Autopilot
switched on
it will operate the trim wheel automatically, and you will have no control over it!
Always switch the Autopilot off when not required, centralise the trim wheel, and manually rotate it for correctly trimmed flight.
Paul....always in good trim....
...!
Trim for take off.
Trim for cruise.
Trim for landing.
For a non-autopilot cruise, you will have one hand on the yoke, and the other hand on the trim wheel...
