F-104 TCE (Read 272 times)

I'm having a little problem using the TCE supplied with the Captain Sim F-104.

The manual says:

6. Press SAVE when you are satisfied with your F-104 configuration.

If your FS2004 is running the TCE reloads a flight and closes automatically.

If you used the TCE with the FS2004 not running, close the TCE using X in the top-right corner.

Ok, so when I do this with the sim running, nothing happens. If I'm on the create flight screen, it doesn't do anything, and if I'm already in a flight, it doesn't do anything. I know the aircraft has been installed correctly, as it shows up on the aircraft select menu and I'm able to fly it, just with limited features as it hasn't been selected through the TCE.

Anyone know why it might not be working?

It's always a good idea to quit FS9 when using the TCE...I don't mind restarting FS9...I also tend to install repaints and change the configurations before I fire up FS9 so that I always have the paints and changes ready... Wink

It doesn't seem to matter, anyway. I can load it from the FS start menu, and some things won't work properly (gear, flaps, etc), until I flick the generator switches in the VC... then everything seems to work as it should.

Check their Tech support FAQs, I guess there was something useful.

That's the first thing I did. Wink

It's not a problem now, anyway. It all seems to work.
