Ok i know how high the system specs required are for decent framerates, but alas I am still getting FSX for xmas to use on my laptop.
My system is as follows:
Intel Pentium M 760 Processor (2GHz, 533MHz FSB, 2MB L2 cache)
2GB DDR 2 533
ATI MOBILITY Radeon X700 with 128 MB
I get great performance and stunning graphics from other games like battlefield 2 etc but I have not tried FS9 (last FS i had was FS8 pro)
I was wondering if there are any specific tweaks to make FSX run well on my laptop. Would a sound card be recommended? I cant really updrade any more (I just upgraded to 2GB Ram from 1Gb, which is the maximum that the laptop will take). Am I going to be very disappointed wit the framerates or should it run ok on low or medium settings? What about when windows vista comes out, will it run better then? Any scenery files or downloads for improving framerates anyone can recomend for a laptop?
cheers for any replies

I can't comment on the settings but Microsoft applications like FS run on Direct3D.

youd probably get medium high maybe high on the vehicles. but don't bet on ultra high unless youve got a 8800GTX, and vista. But yeah it should do fine
