This question may sound stupid to more experienced people, but how exactly do you align yourself with the runway when coming in to land?I have been trying to practice landing in Free Flight mode by taking off, flying for a while and then turning back using the tactical display to come in too land, but whenever the runway comes into sight, I am aligned wrong and it is too late to make adjustments. How do I get around this?

Try to get lined up further out. Instead of taking off, turning round and trying to come back the way you came, try taking off and circle round the airfield so that you land in the same direction as you took off. Practice makes perfect.

I am not an experienced pilot but I find it far easier to line up using the trim controls rather than the joystick or pad. The plane can over react to the joystick and throw you out but the trim controls are nice and gentle.
Give yourself plenty of time and distance to do this and you will find it is quite easy after a few tries.
