Hi, was wondering if anyone could answer my queries.

1. I have GE and am thinking about upgrading to GE Pro. I see you can choose different looks for ground and sky textures depending on the weather conditions, i.e. a darker look if overcast, and so on.
My question - can this look be applied to another texture set outside GE. In other words, if I have VOZ textures and I want to "add an overcast look" using GEPro, is it possible without installing GE ground textures over my VOZ. Can I use GEPro to darken and give a different atmosphere to my VOZ textures?

2. I am thinking of buying Active Sky 6, but have noticed another, earlier product, Active Sky WSxe I think it's called. This is much cheaper. Is AS6 a lot better and how?

3. My main interest in FS is making screenshots, to be honest flying in realistic conditions is a poor second for me. Would buying AS6 or the other one make a big visual difference to my screenshots? Especially as I already have Flight Environment, so I probably wouldn't use ASGraphics.

Any replies to any or all of these queries gratefully received.

Regards, Krigl

Hi Krigl,
1. No I don't think you can, if I remember correctly they can only be applied to the GEPRO textures.
Can' help with 2 sorry.
3. I have both FE and ASGraphics, I have to say I prefer the cloud textures etc that come in the ASGraphics package and use FE for my water. AS6 could implement realistic weather into the game and in my opinion some of the combinations created in AS are amazing and produce some of the best screens I've ever seen.
Hope this is of some help Smiley

That's good to know, and thank you very much! So I'll definitely consider getting AS6 then, and will think about GE pro too - I like GE a lot but so often seem to use VOZ textures I'm not sure if I want to sink another 20 dollars into GE to upgrade it. Cheers, Krigl
