Has anyone downloaded and tried the 10m mesh terrain downloads for Hawaii and the West Coast that are on the homepage?  Just wondering how that works, is it a total replacement for the default 38m slider settings?  The way I'm understanding it is that if you download these files and use put your slider on 38m you actually are going to get 10m?  And is there a performace hit with them?

I got the ones from FSproject or something like that, and they work great.  It just allows you to see 10m mesh when you have the slider set to 10m.  I haven't noticed much of a performance hit with them, the only thing I noticed was a weird group of spikes north of China Lake, but other than that, the mesh is really great, and I would recommend it.

Just a small example I had lying around of all the details (small hills, ravines, etc...) that show up with the 10m mesh...
