Hi Guys, if any of you have read my other topic you will know what my problem is...

Basically I'm thinking about an XP repair Install, using the disks that are being sent to me by Dell, and just wanted to know if there is anything that I really should/shouldn't do, or if there is any chance of me loosing files..?

Any help is great,

Cheers,
Alex

The one thing I would say DO is set a rollback before you start. Other than that just follow the instructions as it is dead easy Wink

Sorry for being stupid, but a roll back?  Embarrassed Is this like a hardcore version of a System Restore, but rather on a higher level?

Thanks  Cool

Go to your add/remove programs and check and see what updates you have installed so far, write down the numbers for them and start downloading them now, will save you updating after the reinstall.
Same for your hardware drivers.
