sorry no pics...Please excuse my ignorance but what does compression actually do to a screenshot?

It makes it very pixelated...and it reduces quality...The only "good" thing it does is make the file size lower... Roll Eyes

Here an example...The first pic is compressed to a point where it does not loose its quality...The second...well, you'll see...

Very Little Compression...

Same Shot...Tons of Compression...
...

See the difference? Wink

Yes, if you use Irfanview, it's the tab that asks the JPEG qualities...If you use Photoshop, it's much easier with the Save for Web feature...You can preview the quality with file size which really helps alot Wink

yes you do control the amount of compression.  if you use IrfanView the compression level can be changed when you save the file

...

(i was too slow in preparing my example  Sad  Wink )
