In the bar which also contains the stuff like , Home, Help, Profile etc... There is an option called Notification..

What does it do?

The forum hasn't changed at all. It's been there for many years & there is one way to find out what these things do -- click them.

There are no topics with Notification marked!



So is it for mods/admins only?

Note that there's a "Notify of replies" option when you reply to a topic. I suspect it might have something to do with that. I shall click the option for this reply & try it. Wink

PS. Tried it.

If you choose to be notified of replys to a topic by clicking the box at the bottom of the reply box
...
it will send you an email telling you some one replyed to your topic or post.

and the notification options lets you cancel them

That might be so in theory but I haven't received an e-mail. That was one reason I tried it.

I think it sends the notification to that button. As in press it in the morning and it notifies you of any threads you want to be told about. I don't think I've ever used it.

No, it's supposed to notify you by e-mail. There's been 3 replies since I clicked the option & I haven't received one yet. It used to work but I don't think it's done so for a long time.

Not a good time to be testingh this aspect of the forums as sendmail on the server isn't working yet.
