hi there,
just came across these two videos of the X-31.
http://video.google.de/videoplay?docid=-8858324702626925869&q=x-31
http://video.google.de/videoplay?docid=-312595310041495380&q=x-31
I see these maneuvers the first time ! Especially the
"Mongoose Maneuver" and the "Thrust Vektor Landing"
are very impressive !!
Are there any other planes out there that can fly these maneuvers ?

Those are pretty amazing. Gotta love Thrust Vector Paddles
I'm sure the F-16AFTI (I believe that's what it was called, it has the same thrust vector system on it that the X-31 uses), the F-22 (to a limited degree), and the Su-37 could perform those. Basically anything with some degree of Thrust Vectoring. 3D vectoring would be best (The F-22 has 2D)

2D, but also 2 nozzle so if they can be operated independantly then one would assume there is a roll control ability that a single engine like the X31 doesn't have.

Yes, but if you check that landing video out very carefully, there is a definite "noise" and puff of smoke before the wheels make contact. The thrust nozzle hits the ground before the gear does.
