Yes, its true, I suck, but I'm getting better. The main problem I have with the 737 still is starting it up. I still use Ctrl+E, and have the game do it for me, than to go through the stress of trying it myself. Not saying that I haven't, I have, numerous times, but everytime it sounds like they're going to kick on and scream, they die down again, and as do I.
I've read the learning center, and I can't find anything to really help...or understand, which is why I'm here. If anyone could give a quick explanation on what to flip and open etc, it would be appreciated

i'd love trackIR for this kinda thing...
Anyway, i think at the top, there'l be 2 knobs... use ur mouse, click and hold onne of them, then drag the mouse across to ur right... do the same for the other knob... i think thats it...
tho i usually fly barons... (which is the same, except the knobs are to the bottom left of the yoke...
hope that helps...

I haven't played FSX for while, the help which I can give you is, if the aircraft has a APU, start it, switch bleed air on, both valves #1-#2, Switch Ignition which ever engine is specified on start, then go to the overhead, and should see a start Nob, Go Start, or Ground.. I forget, when the engine cranks, 20 N1% switch fuel valve on. Repeat those steps for following engine. Should start, -Hope that info helps.

There was some change in FSX to the engine starting code and
the manual starting procedures for FS9 aircraft imported into
FSX do not work. I've had this problem with the L-049A Connie,
Rick Pipers HS.748, Dave Maltby's Trident and BSC1-11.
I have had to resort to CTL-E in every case. And often, if
I tried using the manual start procedure first, CTL-E won't
work or some parameters get PORKED. (EGT, RPM, etc)
I have yet to find any definative data on exactly what was
changed but it definately screws up FS9 engines.
It's too bad that they took something that worked and broke it

Paul, it's really quite simple...
The jet engine #1 starter command is: TOGGLE_STARTER1
Since FS2002 this command has been "broken," meaning that the "TOGGLE" didn't - "toggle" that is. Instead, one was forced to either continuously click on the knob/lever/button, or the programmer had to add in code to "automatically keep triggering" the command.
Now, in FSX ACES has finally fixed the broken "TOGGLE_STARTERn" so that it works just like every other "TOGGLE_" command!
This "fix" of course renders every single engine starter code that "automatically keeps triggering" the command "broken..."

I'm finding that out, Bill. I extracted the FSX B747-400 start button
code and tweaked some bitmaps, etc to create new starters
for a couple of my FS9 aircraft. That seems to do the trick.
I have to keep reminding myself NOT to use the FS9 starters as
strange things tend to happen if one executes the FS9 start code
for some of the aiircraft...notably the HS.748. I'm seeing some
weirdness with the Argosy as well.
