To all of you people finding big holes on the ground with stadiums in them and finding all other terrain glitches, I salute you.

We can now have some serious fun with the glitches. I can imagine if the bottomless pit is still there. And if there is in FSX, I wonder how the F-16 can handle it. Grin

Who's ready for a glitch hunt all in the name of fun? Grin

the only glitch I found is near my home airport, KITH. There is a large hill next to the lake that is about 50 miles off. I need to explore more LOL

Somebody PLEASE go to SYKM!  Thats where the spire is.  I THINK it was an EASTER EGG in FS9, maybe its still there.

If I had FSX Id check it, but I dont.  GO GO GO!

Here's some I got with the 9.6m mesh found HERE:

A bit north of China Lake...

...
...

Look at the first picture, and you can see that they all come form an area that's a line in the ground, and as you fly around them, they switch from being those extremely tall spires, to being extremely deep holes, rather interesting, but they're not default. Wink

Sorry, I can't help you there. Also, please note that this forum doesn't cover that kind of glitches. Grin

Agh... they erased the most entertaining graphic glitch near SYKM. Cry

They erased the "Hell Pit" near it too. Over 100.000 negative feet. Deeper than any petrol well ever dug. Undecided

When the time will come that a computer so horribly powerful will be built (and made cheap enough for me to buy) so I'll be able to reinstall and use FSX decently (in about 7 years' time, I believe), I'll be unable to slew my glider up there and use the spire as a starting point, trying to find a runway (not SYKM, it would be cheating) before the natural fuel goes out. Sad

I'll be unable to see how deep a controled dive can make me reach inside the Hell Pit, too. Embarrassed

We can only hope another glitch as fun (or more) will be find. Roll Eyes

While it is somewhat unfortunate that there don't seem to be as many of these glitches in FSX, you can't really be angry about it if Microsoft is fixing something that was wrong with FS9.  If you really miss them, could the SDK be used to recreate them for the people that want them back?

That's true. Don't get me wrong, though. I'm all for fixing the bugs and stuff, but there are some people who would prefer to have a bit of fun with a negative 100,000ft hell pit. Roll Eyes
