There seems to be a spate of council-owned airports being sold off to private property developers. Sounds very much like the situation at Shoreham last year where the transaction was completed with what seemed indecent haste & at a fraction of its value. A valuable resource sold off for a quick return. It never made much sense to me & I can't say if this will be in the best interests of the airport & the local residents. This remains to be seen but I foresee a time when it will be covered with housing or some other more profitable enterprise.
