We certainly did BAW 8)

Tweek and I will consider it for a future show, concordepilot, but I we want to have the airshow in a different country every time, instead of having them all in a few countries Smiley

Aye, Fozzer's grass strip looks a wee bit small...but there's free refreshements and an arrestor cable - looks like Hereford could become noisy with the roar of jets as we host the next show in "Fozzer's Back Garden ( code is EFOZ Grin)

Military bases tend to be the best for shows, as they usually have the longest runways, suitable for all kinds of aircraft. They're also the places most large airshows take place, too.

As for 3 runways in  / _ \ that sort of configuration, it's very easy to lose your bearings, especially if you're flying a display from the cockpit. It's usually best to have 1 or 2 runways max.

Well, I've suggested Italy quiet a few times and seems like no ever notices. There are plenty of hills around southern Italy and even the Italian Alps in the north. If anyone is willing to consider Italy, it would be great... Wink

Sydney, Australia. YSBK, Bankstown. We have three parralel runways there and its the usual airfield for an airshow in Sydney.  Cool So its not that scenic. Still a nice place to fly!  Wink Cheesy BTW we also have a place called "RAAF Butterworth", a place where our Mirage IIIs used to operate from. Perhaps that might have a long enough runway? And "RAAF Richmond" is where we have most of our C-130s located... I think...  Smiley

Gah! F-111s, dumping fuel!?!?* Hehe I don't know where to look for the .fx file for that.  Grin Though I DO have a nice F-111 with a nice RAAF repaint.  Smiley

*Yes I do know about our F-111s dumping fuel and turning on their afterburners. Nothing like that to celebrate a new millenium.  Grin

Well, I don't know.... Roll Eyes...!

Most times when I visit the various Airshows, I just sit in my paper aeroplane, (slowly disintegrating in the pouring rain), by the side of the runway and watch the various aircraft disappear into the distance....fly around....(generally showing-off)....wait awhile...and watch them return....and bury themselves into the runway...as they do...every time... Smiley...

So...

Whatever location it is, seems to make very little difference....
...according to Fozzer's way of thinking... Wink...!

I don't suppose that anyone notices that there is a bit of a hill, and maybe a few trees, or maybe even a bit of snow  in the background...nice to look at?...
..probably not... Roll Eyes...!
LOL... Wink...!

I still reckon the grass airstrip in my back garden is as good a location as any...
...particularly as the tea and biscuits are supplied free of charge...(and the use of my Toilet)...
....but don't bank on the arrestor string at the end of the garden bringing you to a halt in time... Shocked...
...additional insurance required... Wink....!

So there you are...

A few observations from the Wiley old Fozzer to throw a spanner in the "Where shall we hold the Show?" works...Wink...!

LOL.... Smiley... Smiley... Smiley...!

Paul...G-BPLF....(ICAO=EFOZ. Co-ordinates supplied upon request..).... Cool...!
