I implemented most of the tweaks by FSXMission.com. The overall improvement in balance between FPS and dispaly was noticeable. However, the section regarding "Replacement Ground Autogen Texture" I was not sure about.
1.  I backed up World\Texture folder.
2.  I downloaded NConvert from XnView webwite.
3.  I also downloaded the "FS2004 Terrain SDK" and the "small bat file".

From here I'm lost.

Where do I find the "ImageTool.exe" and the  "nconvert .exe". I have no problem with the "bat file".

Just going to tell you here, as a quote from other SimV members, just don't do this tweak.   Some people have it successful, some have it blow up in their face.   Just ignore this tweak, you'll be better off for it.   Just some advice  Wink

I did this tweak. It was OK, however it made the ground textures blurry.  I really wouldn't do it.

The FSX development team designed the textures and the layout for a reason. If you do this tweak, you will screw up your sim. On top of that, when the sim is patched tweaks such as this will screw it up even worse and a DX10 patch will overwrite the files as well.

Dont do it.

Thanks fellas. I'll heed your advice. I will not do the tweak.
