Here's a couple of AH payware Corsair pics. Both have been edited with a slight increase to the contrast and some sharpening using Irfanview. What do you feel are  the strong points as well as the weak points in these two pics? What would you have done differently?

Second one isn't reallly good at all. The plane is cut off to much to show any of it's interesting features properly.. there is to little of the airport lighting nor is there anything interesting to see in the background. The only thing slightly interesting are the cockpit lights.

To end with positivism..

The first one is almost brilliant! I only think you chose the wrong time of day... Since I think these type of shots work better in daytime. Also your perspective is just slightly to high. It just cut of a bit of your lefthand corner tire.. ( right hand if you're in the plane.) Somehow I think it disturbs the pic a bit.

Ok, Cirrus clouds are too dense, try putting em far higher, 20.000 to 30.000 feet is usually a good point for me.

The first one is quite nice, but:

- Aircraft could be a tad darker
- Scenery far too modern, that´s the thing that messes it up for me...

- Mountains in the background are quite nice !

2nd one:
- Basically as in the shot before
- Corsair is known as a Pacific Fighter, so a sunny beach or sth. like that fits better usually
- Prop is to lightened up
- Plane is cut strangely

Other than that they are quite all right !

Just my POV, you asked for it !

nothing much to say about the first one...
I mean nothing more

for the second one, I would have change the camera position a little bit closer to the fuselage, and pan out to have the cockpit on the left of the pic and the runway lighting on the right/background.
and yes you produced better sky in other shots. you can surely work on that point.
