hi there,
I installed aerosoft faro scenery for fs2004 into fs2002. Ok, it's not working. I get the message in fs2002, some textures could not be load. Is there a program, or utility that change these textures so that they will work in fs2002?

best regards,

You'll need to open each one in DXTBmp to see which ones are extended bmp's. Then you'll need to convert them to a format acceptable to FS2002. In the help file of DXTBmp it tells you which sims use which formats.

hi there,

thanks for the info. I checked it and all the aerosoft faro textures files are bitmap images. Do i have to convert them one by one (more than200) to another extension that will work in fs2002? And wich extension?

best regards,

Sorry, but there's no easy way to do this. You can't just right click and look in properties to see their extension, all it will tell you is that they're bmp's.
I looked in DXTBmp's help file and all listed extended bmp's are excepted by FS2002, so i don't know what these textures could be. Try opening some of them in DXTBmp and see what they are.

I don't know about your rig but seeing the prices I personally would buy FS9 enstead of messing with those textures... Roll Eyes
