Well I have put these down on my christmas wishlist this year: CLS F-117, Wilco A400, Aerosoft Seahawk and Boxer, Aerosoft A-10 and the PMDG 747-400. I would like to know which add ons I should cross off because of compatibility in FSX. Any patches out for these so I can use them in FSX? Or any up-coming patches?

well i have all but the F-117 but im interested.
With the wilco A400 its very nice, lovely to fly and very realistic. A worthwhile addon, bt only if youre interested in that area of flying and if youre going to fly it.
The A-10 is a winner, gourgous model and paints, handles very well, one of the best i know of, a definate!!
Seahawk and boxer can be rather hard on frames and from what ive heard of FSX you dont get al that many frames anyway so be cautious and id say if youre using with FSX you might get a hard drop in frames, you definately do in FS9!!
And the 747 is very nice, ultra realistic, so if you dont have the patience for a very large learning curve to lean all the instruments its not for you, i know i made that mistake so its not one i fly all too often
hope this helps
cheers

I appreciate the help but I would like to know should I get these with FSX out? Are there any patches/upcoming patches so I can use them in FSX? I would be very disappointed if my mum bought me the PMDG 747-400 for $110 AUS and it didnt work...

if it were me i would make sure that i really wanted that aircraft and if i would fly it before i went searching for whether it would be compatible with FSX, and i think that all of the more recent add-ons, within the last year i reckon, will have been made with both FS9 and FSX in mind given that they wouldnt get all that many people buying them when the upgrade was made by a lot of people.
But i am sure that if you go to the site of the add-ons specified it will tell you if there is a patch available, in the making, or if there is not a needed patch.
