I have downloaded AFCAD as was suggested, but it is of no use for physically modifying scenery.

According the Q & A in the user manual:

"AFCAD doesn't modify any of the visible scenery ......"

Is there any other software which can be used to modify the visible scenery of FS2002 airports ?

You're earlier post was referring to taxiways. Taxiways can be modified by AFCAD. For exsisting scenery objects, i don't know how to remove them. For adding objects, i use EOD for making the objects and Airport 3.0 for placing them in FS.

Thanks.
The problem is not to modify existing taxiways, but to create new ones.

AFCAD will create new ones, modify old ones or for that matter, make a whole new airport. Wink

Thanks, but have you used it ?

Read the user manual:

44. Problems and Q & A
No new gates or other changes visible at an airport.

AFCAD doesn't modify any of the visible scenery, so you will not see any new boarding ramps at a terminal building.  AFCAD modifies the invisible mapping and data that Flight Simulator ATC and AI uses to operate at an airport.

I think Frankie is getting confused with FS9. The FS9 version of AFCAD will add simple visible objects like runways & taxiways but this won't work in FS2002. It's a long time since I did any of this in FS2002 (or any other sim for that matter) but I think you will need a conventional scenery design application like Airport or FSSC.

Thanks Hagar.
I am presently looking into the possibility of using FSSC.
