In the Slect Aircraft box of FS9, there is a section called Variation which contains one or several textures. One could select any of the textures.

In FSX however, I failed to see any Variation section. If it is not included in the software, what is the purpose of having several textures in many of the default aircraft. For example: the b747 has about four or five.

Another question:
In an aircraft folder in FSX which included several textures labeled. texture
                           texture.1
                           texture.2
                           texture.3, etc.

Does each texture correspond to a specific [fltsim.#]?
Is the default texture - "texture" or is it whatever is in [fltsim.0]?

Make sure the "Show all variations" option is checked.
