Hello to all:
How do you get fs9 panels and gauges to work and show in fsx? Is it possible? Is there a special gauge dll that I need? I have installed some of the planes that were made for fs9 into fsx but the gauges are missing and I get a warning indication that the gauges can not be used for fsx. What can I do to get rid of that sign and make the gauges compatible with fsx? Any help welcome???

These are probably early FS2000\2002 panels. There is no way to fix the incompatible gauges. I can only suggest you try some more recent aircraft/panels or replace the faulty gauges. The later aircraft & panels created specifically for FS9 should work fine in FSX.

I've had problems using FS9 aircraft in FSX mainly due to resulting sound and panel problems. The I got the hang of it. I've already successfully pasted five aircraft. So as not to mess around with the gauge and sound files, I simply aliased the sound and the panel to a similar aircraft already in FSX. For example, I pasted an AB 380, an AB340 and an Embraer 110 and theytested beautifully. For the first two I aliased their respective panels and sounds to the FSX default 747 while the Embraer 110 I aliased it to the Beech 350. Note: The default FSX 747 sound is aliased to the default 737 so I aliased it to the 737.

I created a thumbnail.jpg for each and voila, their pics came out in the Aircraft Selection panel. Now if I can only change textures included in the aircraft.cfg.

Drawback is the still the limited selection of panels and sounds available in FSX for alias. Can't hardly use any for high performance jet fighters or many of the vintage FS9 aircraft.
