Does anyone know how to put an image for an imported aircraft in the menu so you don't get the generic one?

I just figured it out.
Find a picture that you'd like to have represent your aircraft.
Name it thumbnail.jpg and place it in the appropriate texture folder.
Thanks for the help Chrisco  Grin

Edit: Or simple get AUTOTHUMBNAIL

But don't forget that it should be 256 pixels wide x 128 tall.   That is the format.  Also, as you said, it should be saved as a jpg file and named "thumbnail.jpg"

Lastly, don't forget to place it into your aircraft's texture folder.

Cheers!

Can we take this topic to the next obvious question? How do we get imported aircraft to show the model in the selected aircraft window prior to clicking on the fly now button?  Huh

I do notice some late model FS9 aircrafts do show up in that window (ex. S-70 Blackhawk helicopter and the Merlin freeware addon) and some don't! I think it has something to do with the panel cfg. I deleted the panel from all my FS9 Addons and not one of them showed up in the select aircraft menu. Then when i put the panels back they showed up in the menu.
