I wonder just how "NEW" FSX is. I fly from Ankeny, IA KIKV in both FS9 and FSX there is a wind sock in the middle of the runway 18-36. With object collisions on...you have to practice short-field procedures or crash every takeoff and landing.
Are you sure that isn't one of the 50 missions?!!!!!!!

Bug 1:
I normally run my computer at 800x600 resolution but since installing FSX every time i start it asks me to set the resolution to a minimum of 1024x768. In all previous versions of Flightsim it was possible to have your desktop at 800x600 and setup Flightsim to 1024x768 and it would automaticly set it to that size when the program starts and restore it to the original resolution when the program is closed. Unfortunatly this doesn't seem to be the case in FSX. Is here a way around this problem? I know this was the case with the demo but thought it was only because it was at the demo stage.
Bug 2:
I normally fly the Baron 58 running the 2D Panel but since updating to FSX they no longer have the optionof being able to adjust the Eye Point (Shift+Enter or Shift+Backspace) making it very dificult to see the runway during landing.
FSX has some amazing major improvements but then they go and spoil it by removing good items from previous versions instead of making them better or simply leaving them alone

I don't think this is actually a "bug". What it reflects is the steady increase in computer graphical performance. 800x600 is really becoming totally outdated...... and 1024 x 768 is the "new 800x600". Remember 640 x 480? That is long dead as a "standard". Soon...... you won;t be able to get monitors that run at 1024 w resolution.
To solve some of this issue on the reading stuff on the desktop, change the text sizes and the icon sizes in Wiondows XP.
best,
....john

Also not a bug.
Eye point (move back) CTRL+ENTER
Eye point (move down) SHIFT+BACKSPACE
Eye point (move forward) CTRL+BACKSPACE
Eye point (move left) CTRL+SHIFT+BACKSPACE
Eye point (move right) CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER
Eye point (move up) SHIFT+ENTER
Eye point (reset) CTRL+SPACE

Correction Politically Incorrect, But those commands do not work when in 2D panel they only work in Virtual panel. Beleive me i have tried. THey add new improved items then they take away the good stuff. As for the resolution please let microsoft know about 1024x 768 being the new 800x600 because they still produce games that won't even run full screen on 800x600 and actually require 640x480. Even webpages don't display full screen in 1024x768 as you can see

When in 2d Panel, use Shift-Q and Ctrl-Shift-Q to raise/lower the eyepoint. It's in the keyboard command reference...

If anti-alias is switched on via your graphics card settings and you fly in windowed view then it doesnt actually apply the anti-aliasing.
Dont know if turning it on in the game would do it as I only ever adjust this option via my graphics card settings. In my eyes it should still display with anti-alias on in windowed mode just as FS9 did.

This is definitly a bug either that or the gardener need to get out the roundup. There are trees and shrubs scattered all over the taxiways at meigs field.

Not sure what you're complaining about here. I've used 1024 x 768 desktop resolution for years. The Simviation main page in your example is designed to look like that.

Not sure if this is intended as a joke but that sounds realistic enough. I thought everyone on this forum knew that there's no longer an airport at Meigs since Mayor Daley had the runways ripped up in 2003.
