... I did something that would forever change my life.

I took my very first flight lesson!  It was November 2nd, 1996 (almost 2 months after I turned thirteen) and a very cold day in Snohomish Washington at Harvey Airfield.  My instructors name was Paul Plack and the aircraft was a Cessna 152 with the tail number of N24995.

So finally I can say that I have been flying airplanes for TEN YEARS!!  Isn't that crazy? I sure think so!  Shocked

Thanks for reading!

Stay tuned for tomorrows posting: 4 years ago today!!  Another major milestone!  haha

I got my PPL about 10 years ago; it seems incredible to me that I"m still at it. And that I don't make better landings. Grin
Of course, I was inactive for a few years there... so I guess I'm excused for that, and not having my IR yet... Grin

27 years ago for me (gawd I'm getting old)..

Then a 25 year hiatus..

The last two years have been the most personally satisfying of my life. Flying's been a big part of that..

Aside from a crappy day today thanks to my boss being in a fowl mood...  it was an ordinary day.  Er, what am I saying... that IS a normal day! haha

Well I have managed to go 10 years of working with and around airplanes without a single visible injury.  I've bumped my head numerous times, but never anything visible.  But today, I had a good one!  I was washing the skydive schools Cessna Caravan (while it was raining cats-and-dogs all day)  and was climbing out of the cockpit and tripped over my feet, lurched forward just enough for the bridge of my nose to be abruptly stopped by the trailing edge of the propeller!  I've got a nice gash on my nose and my cheek.  And a terribly damaged ego! haha  Since those things are feathred when the power is off, I never even saw it coming!
