Hello. I have decided to upgrade my computer so that I can play FSX maxed out once DX10 and Vista come out.

Windows XP Pro
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 2.40GHz Proccessor
2GB DDR2 RAM
ATI Radeon X1300 PRO 256MB Video Card (temporary until DX10)

Once I upgrade my video card to a DX10 card and get Windows Vista, will I be able to play FSX smoothly with maxed out settings? If not, which part(s) should I improve? Thanks in advance.

Your choice of a video card is pretty good. Although I would invest some money [if your bank account would allow] on a 512MB video card next time.

Go for it. Just remember to get a big arse power pack to run that thing on. 580w at least if you intend to get a Dx10 card as soon as they're avaliable.

Wow... didn't really think of that. Thanks for the heads up though.  Smiley
