just a thought...how about starting a simviation flying club for flying lessons for areas you dont understand (e.g. ifr flying), shared aircraft touring, log hours together, for people that like large jets have copilot/pilot setup etc

just an idea-itll need a lot of planning if it was to happen so please leave suggesstions/comments

thanks Cheesy

It would depend on how it is set up as to its feasibility. you would also have to make each person have the same group of planes in their fleet and use only those planes when flying together. not a problem with default planes but you can't learn everything from default planes. If you do set one up, look to RC flying clubs for guidance because they are closest to what we have.

Yes, this will be fun! I am available to help out, as to start it up, or something like that.

High Flight Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of earth And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings; Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth Of sun-split clouds - and done a hundred things You have not dreamed of - wheeled and soared and swung High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung My eager craft through footless halls of air. Up, up the long delirious, burning blue, I've topped the windswept heights with easy grace Where never lark, or even eagle flew - And, while with silent lifting mind I've trod The high untresspassed sanctity of space, Put out my hand and touched the face of God.&&

There have been a few over the years here. Mostly it tends to be groups of friends flying together.
I was part of the Sunday Afternoon Club for a looooooong time and every Sunday afternoon off we went chuffin' around in prearranged kites in a pre-selected area and having a good giggle.

Don't forget the limitations imposed by FS 2004 Multiplayer...Wink....!

As Ozzy mentioned. only using the default aeroplanes work, (and not always reliably even then!), or alternatively every flyer has to agree beforehand to use the same aeroplanes, either default, or downloaded...!!

The way that FSX Multiplayer works may be more suitable for this type of endeavour, in that all the flyers different aeroplanes are always visible.... apparrently...Wink...!

Remember, for example, in FS 2004 if it is decided to organise a Microlight Fly-in, none of the craft will be visible in their true form because they are not part of the Default list of FS 2004 aircraft!
They will all appear as Cessna 172's...Shocked...!

The idea is fine, but flawed by the limitations of FS 2004 Multiplayer..Cry...!

Cheers all...Grin...!

Paul...G-BPLF.... 8)...!

I was thinking this would be aimed more at  fsx multiplayer, shared cockpits tower controller, better aircaft update rates etc wopuld make it more suitable for use with fsx

LOL- one of my favorite exercises... managed to get a P38 on there (no hook and wound up with the nosewheel tire just at the end of the deck), but I have a little work to do getting the DC3 stopped in time... Cheesy

Definately sounds like a good idea.

Maybe it could be sorta like when we used to do 'crazy flying' sessions on sundays, where we all just got on a server and flew around, most of the time focused on the Aircraft carrier in San Francisco

EDIT:  I just read the other replies, and everyone seems to think the same way!

ok so is the general idea to do crazy flying ?

if thats the plan I'll probably wait till the nexty version of fshostspy so people can join in fs9 and fsx

p.s. I know it works now but the next version will have less bugs Wink
