That seems to happens whenever you don't enable advanced animations as the skin and bones function is linked to it.

Katahu,

Can you please explain your comment on this?

Are you saying that this kind of a "bug" exists unless you activate a function that has the option to NOT be activated?  In other words...... the function of the activate / not activate option is not really an option?

Doesn't active animations put a lot of load on the system....and would be one of the things you'd turn off to get better performance?

best,

Just to add something to my original post: This is the only aircraft in FSX that does anything like this for me and all of the 747 models do it.

I said what I said because I was flying the default sail plane in FSX with the advanced animations turned OFF. When the animations were switched off, the wing flex on the sail plane didn't occur [it was in the down position] and the visual control surfaces were not moving even though the plane was moving according to my joystick input.

Therefore, I assumed that the problems we see with the 747 wing flex were caused whenever the advanced animations were turned off.

I don't even see the words "advanced animations" anywhere in the setting menu much less a place to enable or disable them. Can you give me a clue what you are taking about?

Ok Ok, I found it. Right under my nose. If it had been a snake, it would have bit me for sure. I turned the advanced animations off and it fixed the problem
