Welcome back to the next SimV International Airshow update!

The Airshow this time will be held at:

Aviano Mil, Italy (LIPA)

In this thread, please specify what aircraft you'll be flying at the show and provide a link. We request that you fly an AI model or a low-poly model so the download size is smaller and the frames will be better at the show!

NOTE:
One aircraft that we request you all download is the Paper Aeroplane, as it has a very low poly count (50 polys) and will be perfect for spectating in....perhaps even doing a display in! It's only 525kb so dial-up users will have no problem!

Stay tuned for the next announcement!

I'll be flying the Bell-Boeing V22 Osprey in its (and my) SimV airshow debut!
Its not an AI model though, and i dont think there are any AI ospreys available.

P.S: Can i film the event??

Cheers,
MrJake2002.

Doesn't matter if you can't find an AI one MrJake, but generally we advise it, we don't enforce it Grin

As for filiming it, Ecko did a fine job at the Oshkosh show, nobody filmed the previous event so if you're up for it MrJake, film away! 8)

I will be in the AlphaSim Raptor, but obviously not everyone can get their hands on it, so here is a quick/easy download of a Raptor.
http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/syb.cgi?section=military&file=F22raptor.zip

Plan is also to do a mixed "rock-and-roll" aerobatics routine in  the Red Bull Extra..........If you dont want to download, I will start in the default Patty Wagstaff Extra, then switch for those of you who like the Red Bull flare!

http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/syb.cgi?section=props&file=Extra300RedBull.zip

If you wish to hear the music that is set to both demo's, you will need to be on the SimV teamspeak! (If you like bands like Queen mixed with high power and high performance aircraft, you will want to listen in!)

The duvel aerobatic team will be there. We'll be flying the christen eagle2. The first part of the demo is a 2-ship formation flight (aerobatics) ,after that I'll fly a short unlimited demo. (rolling circle ,rolling loop, lomcevak tumble, vertical rolls/snaprolls,.......)

The christen eagle2 :  http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/syb.cgi?section=props&file=liceagii.zip

I go for the Semi Truck that I made. Grin

http://www.flightsimgroundvehicles.com/dnldfs9service.htm

It's basically designed for AI, it's extremely basic and it's perfect for 56k connections.

May I ask what you'll be doing with it? Grin Some sort of display (perhaps a race against an aircraft?) or just spectating in it?

Still thinking DC-3 ( a brief display; two passes and a landing)... I'd be happy to fly an AI one, but how do you enable an AI plane for that purpose?

So I've been looking at LIPA... I assume the show "box" will be over the tower side of the runway?
My other question: I'd like to enter the show box from outside; probably will fly in from LIPI. Will there be a holding pattern or something near LIPA?

Without checking, I think the spectator side will be on the tower side, and the flying will be done on the mountainous side of the runway. It'll be confirmed with diagrams, though. Wink

I'm actually going to be in Just Flight's RAF Vulcan, but not everyone has it so I'll load up in Mr Ito's Vulcan, then switch to JF's one. 8)

Aha! So there is a way to fly in one model, but have everyone see a different one? I'd much rather do my thing in my payware DC-3, if it can be displayed as the FS9 default version...

Yep, in two easy steps.

1. Switch to the default DC-3
2. Switch to the payware DC-3.

Anyone without the payware DC-3 will see the default one. Wink

Okay then, Itll be hard for me to come, or at least for most of it.  I will try my hardest.

I bowl in a league saturday mornings, so I might be late, and then at some point I have to eat lunch so I might miss some, and then I have a guitar lesson.  So I will come as best as I can, and do my flybys when I am there (flyby will start from another airport and will only take a minute or so)

Music to my ears Rhino...unfortunately the phone and cable companies seem to be avoiding any homes that have more than 1 animal. (farms) Wink Neither is available in my area. They've reached a town about 10 miles from us ....so close yet so far...really frustrating..I remember trying a duo with Cspyro and when I pointed my ride to the spectators, I dropped to 0.01 fps..Needless to say that put a quick end to our antics.  Smiley
