Somewhat dissappointed with the new FSX, I decided to re-load my CFS3. I understand that since its outset, there had been a lot of improvements (add-ons, upgrades, etc) issued out. I knew about this once but is there an add-on to the sound of guns which will make it sound with a little bit of "oomph" compared to what it is now which sound like a pop-gun?

Thanks.

Have a look there.

Also, go to www.avhistory.org and download their latest weapons pack. You'll need it for most addons.

??? ??? ???

I'm having trouble getting into the Sim-Outhouse website. I have already registered but everytime I go to the website the screen continues to flicker and the website address seemed to cycle between two different addresses. In other words, I have been unable to get in the program.

Any suggestions?

I had that trouble yesterday. Can't remember how I fixed it but I think I just closed the browser.

My problem with the Sim-Outhouse has been corrected but I don't know what I did to correct it. Perhaps it was an internet problem. Nonetheless, I have a question:

I downloaded several gun sounds from SOH which sounded realistically good. How do I load them into the the system? Do I have to  remove the default sounds or do I just add the downloads into the sound file. Also, how will I know which sound goes with what aircraft? Is there an aircraft or sound config files I have to change?

The problem at SOH seems sporadic. It's happened to me a couple of times now and going back later seems to fix it.

As for installing the files, the readme will tell you exactly how to do it but I should think copy and pasting into the CFS3 Sounds folder and overwriting any files of the same name in there should be all thats required. I would advise looking at the readme first though if it has one as without the files here now I cannot be totally sure of whats involved.
