On a british destroyer, this unlucky photographer captured this jewel with barely enough time to turn away from the blast.
It's a miracle this film made it back in one peice;
there was a bullet hole 3 inches from the camera strapped to his live preserver.

He must've been in a pretty big hurry...

In his last few moments, ear's ringing, and dizzy from the previous salvo of bombs, here's what he saw...

At least he went down in style...

by the way, these are the first shots i did in photoshop  Grin

EDIT: oh i just noticed. i guess he wouldn't be seeing lens flare...
