I feel bad for stormtrooper, having bananabob as a compititor in a catagory where they can edit.  You are pure evil!

Don't underestimate Stormtropper, he's most capable of competing against anyone at V. That match-up has the potential to produce two unprecedented pics.  Smiley

Stormtropper is really good as well and certainly has the potential to be evenly matched against Bob and certainly has the potential to beat him.

As for Stuart and Lilley and Nemo vs Mouce Ace... I expect great things from you!!

Looks magnificent Clip! Interesting Combo's here!

You have 7 days to submit your entry so there shouldn't be a problem.

I can take ya on..... Grin Grin

EDIT: As for submitting entries, we have 7 days to do so - but do we all submit our entries then or will a certain category be "called forth" to enter?

EDIT 2: Just noticed that Tweek, myself, and two others have also got category 5.... this'll mean I need more boxing gloves Grin

Answer edit 1) You can submit your entries to me via p.m. any time during the week, just be sure to make the deadline of next Sunday at 1:p.m.

Answer edit 2) Even though there are two pairs of you assigned category #5, you are competing only against your assigned opponent.

P.S. Sorry about the size of this thread, there was a huge amount of info to be posted. I know it's long for dial-up users (myself included) but I had no choice.  Smiley

Once I receive all the entries, I'll post them in one thread here at Studio called "Screenart Wars: The Entries Round 1." Ill put the pics in groups of 2 showing who's battling who.

Then the judges look at their designated pairs of combatants and decide who moves on to the next round. Judges then send me their decisions via P.M. . Then i'll put up a thread introducing the next round. (includes the winners of the previous round with their new categories and assigned judges).

Wild Card! means freeware, payware, edited, non edited, morphedited (screenshot mixed with photograph), FS95, 98, CFS3, film clip of Battle of Britain with an FSX aircraft super-imposed on it, scrolling text, a cute baby picture in the cockpit of an F-16, anything from anywhere any way you like it....the only requirement is the screenshot MUST include an image of an aircraft (or part of one) from any sim known to man. Flexible enough for you?  Smiley This category is designed to stretch the imagination and creativity, maybe even break new ground in the art of screenshots. (no pressure though  Wink ). I'm confident you'll both work out something amazing, ... Smiley

Cloud9, I did my best to pair as equally as I could. I obviously have no way of knowing whay everone's category likes and dislikes are. But if you read the rules carefully, there's one that states:
...
Cloud, dig down deep, think hard about the "originality" part of the judgeing criteria. Try to come up with something new, different and creative. C'mon, you can do it... Smiley

You could always just clone out the sign, if you have any sort of photo editing software. I'm sure it wouldn't be classed as editing, really.

Just as a question ? Does DC-3 allow DC-3 only, as airline plane or such, or military C-47, too ? Just to figure out possibilities.... I´d love DC-3 only, there are some airforce DC-3´s, too aren´t there... but there are sweet airline liveries....

Looking forward to see what Krigl is coming up with !

Any variation of DC-3 is allowed, C-47 is fine. And you're right, there are a vast array of liveries available.  Smiley
...

On the cropping issue, as Cspyro mentiones cropping is allowed, and Tweek, cloning would be not considered an edit as long as it's done solely to delete an unwanted "pause" sign or similar image.  Smiley

Actually Theis, the B-18 is a variation of the DC-2, so it doesn't qualify. Not the most attractive bird anyway, agree?

WhataboutaXCG-17then;D[img]http://www.simviation.com/yabbuploads/XCG-17.jpg

Douglas XCG-17, converted from a C-47.  In glider form, the XCG-17 could carry 15000 lbs of cargo, and was towed by a single C-54 or two C-47s.  Besides the cargo space available within the fuselage, the wing panels and nacelles were converted to carry bulk fuels.

Tell you what Theis old pal, if anyone can find a freeware version of the XCG-17, then decides the available liveries are suitable, it qualilfies.  Wink

Reminder: Absolutely no payware unless you have been assigned Category #6
