Are you using negative flaps on that plane? How is it?

there is a stick near the pilots seat (right side) that goes up and down, if that helps.

im about to try those tweeks posted above but before i do i want to say something

this is possibly the biggest waste of money ever. i spent £60 on it today, and it looks absolutly crap, and my rig isnt crap in anyway, the only possible system upgrade that wnt involve spending hundres is to get another few gigs of ram (currently have 1 gig)

i get around 20FPS on med-low settings, now on the first demo i got 25 FPS med-high WTF is going on here, this is a joke. their is some serious problems with FSX and until these gets fixed their is no point in buying it unless you have an uber rig!

thats my 2 cents on this

john

p.s. if the tweaks work then i may say differant but until then waste of cash, FS9 currently looks loads better!

john,

Check out the thread listed below and read the link posted there for some VERY interesting information on what Microsoft ACES consider a "mid-level" machine.  A mid-level machine will only get mid-level stuff out of FSX.  And interestingly, it appears that the "target" that they were shooting at for framerates is only about 20 fps on a given machine "level".

So from reading that stuff my take on this is that a "mid level" machine will get you mid level features on FSX at about an AVERAGE of 20 fps.

C:\documents and settings\your name\Application data\microsoft, in case anyone else doesn;t know. It’s a hidden file, though, so you have to make it visible in View menu

Well I cant say FSX looks fantastic on my comp.... but with the minor tweak I used its ok... I probably should start tweaking like crazy now eh? I will try these tweaks and see where I get!

Cheers, Gunny

yeh, i think we should apply for a twaks board or something because it would take alot of this away from the main boards and be easier to find. just somewhere for people to post little tweeks??
