Hey guys, I've got ANOTHER problem Shocked Roll Eyes.  (Sad, I know, but I'm bad at installing repaints Undecided).  I'm trying to install the texture found on this page http://www.simviation.com/fs2004vintage62.htm for the Aeroplane Heaven Sea Hurricane.  I'm assuming that the one to install it in would be the one called AH_Hurricane MK1 Early.  So here's what I put in the Aircraft document (the first is the default):

[fltsim.0]
title=Hurricane MK1 Early
sim=Hurricane_1early
model=
panel=
sound=
texture=
checklists=Hurricane_I_CHECK
description=Early MK1 Hurricane
ui_manufacturer=Hawker
ui_type=Hurricane MK1
ui_variation=LKA
atc_id_color=0000000000
visual_damage=0
visual_damage=1

[fltsim.1]
title=HurricaneD
sim=Hurricane_1
model=MK1Sea
panel=
sound=
texture=MK1Sea
checklists=Hurricane_I_CHECK
description=Royal_Navy_Hurricane_Mk1
ui_manufacturer=AH_Hawker
ui_type=Sea_Hurricane
ui_variation=MK1
atc_id_color=0000000000
visual_damage=0
atc_id_font=Verdana,-11,1,600,0

What am I doing wrong (its not showing up)?  Thanks so much for the help!

I don't know whether the first one is a normal Hurricane and the second a Sea Hurri, but if they are identical you have to get rid of the Model=

Example:

[fltsim.1]
title=HurricaneD
sim=Hurricane_1
model=MK1Sea      <-------This one...
panel=
sound=
texture=MK1Sea
checklists=Hurricane_I_CHECK
description=Royal_Navy_Hurricane_Mk1
ui_manufacturer=AH_Hawker
ui_type=Sea_Hurricane
ui_variation=MK1
atc_id_color=0000000000
visual_damage=0
atc_id_font=Verdana,-11,1,600,0

[fltsim.1]
title=HurricaneD
sim=Hurricane_1
model=                   <--------Deleted
panel=
sound=
texture=MK1Sea
checklists=Hurricane_I_CHECK
description=Royal_Navy_Hurricane_Mk1
ui_manufacturer=AH_Hawker
ui_type=Sea_Hurricane
ui_variation=MK1
atc_id_color=0000000000
visual_damage=0
atc_id_font=Verdana,-11,1,600,0

Try that.

Cheers Mees

These files are too large for me to bother d/l so here's a reply in general term:

It's often better to copy&paste the new aircraft part from  the ORIGINAL aircraft.CFG file than to use the one which ships with the download.

If the original aircraft model install shows-up in the sim, logic dictates that a copy of this (with the obligatory sequential number change; i.e., {fltsim.#} made) the new texture.NEW will show up by simply changing:

title=NEW
texture=NEW
variation=NEW

ui_type= must remain the same as the original or the NEW addition will show up in a different Select-Aircraft  window in FS9.
