Hi everyone, I was just wondering if some people could give me some tips when it comes to FS2002... I've had an older rig for quite awhile so I never saw a need to get FS2004. Now that I have a respectable machine Core Duo, 2 gig RAM, 256 MB ATI card I want to get the most out of FS2002 while await FSX and Windows Vista. Any tips about what to use as ground water or autogen textures would be appreciated as well as tips to get the optimum performance although FPS and smoothness in the motion of the sim isn't much of a problem on this machine  Grin Thanks!

Justin

All of those links seem to be primarily for Bush flying and while I do fly in the bush occasionally I'm looking more for enhancements to areas like the lower 48 in terms of the ground textures etc. Thanks for the link though. FS Sky World makes a pretty big difference in the appearance of clouds and weather.

Oh well I just downloaded the new FSX demo and it's awesome. I don't think I'm even gonna bother with FS2002 anymore I'm just waiting for FSX and Vista now.

You might want to talk to Michael Greenblatt of FS-GS.

After you've see what he does you don't even need FSX Wink

I would also consider Ground Environment, Flight Environmen, FS Water and ActiveSky. They are payware but worth every penny.

I don't really see any point in buying stuff for FS2002. If anything I would upgrade to FS2004 and buy the payware but I think I'll just wait for FSX

Thanks for the link Cspyro. Turns out I had already come across this link but ignored it because I hadn't dug deep enough. Looks quite useful. I'll be taking a break from regional Caribbean flights for a while.
