This is just a suggestion so don't go bashing at me saying that I'm not letting you express your opinions.

For the past month or so, I have noticed and increased talk and confusion about when FSX will really be released. You should all know by now that given the history of how previous versions of FS were released, no one but Microsoft will really know when the new will hit the stores. On top of that, the dates posted on retail sites like Amazon, EB Games, etc. are just nothing more than estimates of what the stores think the sim might be allowed to put on the shelves. Add to that the fact that the dates are subject to change and that the price tags are also subject to change for both the standard and the deluxe.

In a nutshell, I suggest that you sit back, relax and quit worrying about the release dates as you will see them hit the shelves eventually. They will come out when they come out. Besides, these endless questions about the release dates are starting to become just as annoying as the repeated question about what's the difference between standard and deluxe.

But if you like to keep asking about the dates, go ahead. Just remember that each old question will cause me to waste more aspirin tablets and I seem to be on a shortage at the moment. Grin

Flight Simulator X Soars to Gold
Press Release -- This Content Was Not Created By GameSpot
Posted Sep 18, 2006 9:42 am PT

September 18, 2006 - The skies are almost at your fingertips as Microsoft Game Studios today announced that "Flight Simulator X" has gone gold.

The newest addition to the 25-year "Flight Simulator" franchise will fly to retailers on Oct. 17. Gamers of all ages, types and skill levels will experience firsthand what it's like to be an aviator traveling the globe in one of the dozens of aircraft available.

It's gone gold, so it's pretty safe to assume it will be Oct. 17th or there-about, unless the FSX factory blows up, or the world ends. Grin Wink

Just Flight are shipping UK pre orders to arrive on the UK release date of 13th October

From Just Flight's front page, this headline on the 28th September:

Quote:
UK release is scheduled for October 13th and our aim is to ship all pre-orders by First Class post by that date; UK simmers should have the product arriving with them on the day of official release (subject to the Royal Mail). All non-UK orders will be shipped by Airmail which normally takes 3-7 days for European countries. Order the Standard edition here and Deluxe edition here.
