LOL.......Let me go and find the post Bill is probably talking about............

OK here's a good Military AI thread from a while back covering the same things, read all the posts and it should get you what you want.

In addition, there are several excellent freeware military AI packages already out there for Selfridge and the rest of the state of Michigan.  Search for them on Simviation or Avsim.   Author is Matt Magner.

In addition for all your Military AI needs come see our group over at:

There are some very nice military AI packages out there as mentioned above (thanks for the links about a month ago fellows, I spent a couple of weeks at the computer adding a bunch of USAF/USN AI thanks to your bad influence).  One thing that would be interesting would be to find some military helo AI, haven't come across any yet.

Problem is that there's only one or two AI only helicopters out there.  So basically there are no good AI only military helicopter models to use.  What you can do is to use a flyable model as ai, it needs to have it's air file adjusted and a couple other tweeks to work but it can be done.  The other issue is that it will really drag down the performance of your machine since it's not a true ai only model with multiple levels of detail and low polygon modeling.   Roll Eyes

One place you can search for some helicopter ai packages is over at www.hovercontrol.com

There are 5 or 6 packages of flyable helicopters that have been adjusted to work as ai.  It's not ideal but it's better than nothing.

One example of why they have to be modified would be with any helo that has skids instead of wheels.  We have to trick FS9 into thinking the chopper has wheels so it can "taxi" just like other ai aircraft.
