Do a zero visibility ILS landing with crosswind. 2D panel view only. Realism sliders on full. Grin

Pretty good. Now all you have to do is fly a manual ILS landing in a 737 with a 36knot crosswind at night Wink

im confused, why would you want to hit the 3rd wire?   That way if you miss the  you only have 1 chance left.

Aim for the first, and miss it, you still have 3 chances left?

Dose anyone know how i can turn the runway lighting intensity up?, i was trying to land on the carrier at night and couldnt see it untill i was right on top of it

I don't know why, but navy pilots are taught to go for the third wire, and by all means not the first wire, it's too close to the ramp!

I can't help on the runways lights, sorry.

well my good landings came to an end today, i hit a little hard and collapsed the left main landing gear on the F-18 today.

I was trying a ILS landing today also, and when i tuned the ILS freq.  Nothing came up on the HUD for the localizer and glideslope.   I saw the ILS was working, on one of the lower screens on the F-18 panel. But i would like everything to come up on the HUD, so i can see everthing that i need to know with out scanning the whole freaking panel.  If i can get like two bars on the hud for glideslope and the localizer, that would be awsome.

When you can put an An-225 on the deck you're getting as good (and mental) as me Wink

who slewed? i have a screenshot i took of an 747 doing an approach and catching the 3 wire.

Speaking of the 3 wire, the reason they go for it, is that the 3 wire is right in line with a 3.5 degree glideslope which is normal for carrier landing. so if you fly the ball all the way to touchdown you'd ctach a 3 wire theoretically
