Having just spent a week in the Lake District, I wanted to get back and fly around the same area in FS9.  What a disappointment!  Is there any decent scenery add-on package to make Cumbria actually look like Cumbria?

All I can suggest, Gryshnak, would be a mesh for the area. I'd suggest the SRTM Mesh on SimV (only problem is, the files are temporarily unavailible) Smiley

Fleetwood coats, towards Lancaster

Windermeer on the right, Coniston to the left:

In the pass south of Thirlmeer:

Skidaw:

Lake Derwent and beyond:
...

VFR terrain ONLY covers the elevation mesh, and the coastline. All textures and other scenery are seperate addons.

Thanks, that's got to be an improvement over the default bumps which pretend to be steep hills.

Just rememberm, this covers all of England and Wales, not Scotland. So the Welsh mountains are just as good. the coastline is immaculate.

A note of caution, there are a few odd errors, as you mgiht expect in such a large project. mostly they are concerned with rivers and the coastline. You might see a random part of an estury filled in with land, or a floating square in the sea.

I thought i best mention it so you dont buy it and then  come back saying "you didnt tell me it was like this...!!"

In the main, it is very good in my opinion.
