Won't happen. Boeing's decided they can provide the 747-8 at such a cost savings, that it will be financially compelling to air carriers. To be accurate the A380 is Airbus's entry to the market that the 747 has been operating in by itself.
Anyway, I saw that plane on the news over the weekend. The video I saw looks more pleasing to the eye than those pics depict.
