What's the matter with you people? You only have to listen to the first four lines to understand what it's about. Roll Eyes

[Chorus:]
Oh I wish I was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair
In '77 and '69 revolution was in the air
I was born too late into a world that doesn't care
Oh I wish I was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair

Don't really get the point of the song.. Then again I don't get the point with most of today's song... So that is why I usually try to avoid them 8)

This is a good punk rocker though

Now this is a song with a Message... allthough not all agree with it... even I don't fully agree with iot... The clip is really cool though...

Might be a bit too much and loud for some of you... Don't understand why... but for some it's to much..

Anyway...

Watch at own risk,, slightly political Grin

Must be too easy. It's actually a very clever little song.

Makes me wonder if people actually understand all those songs with obscure lyrics or just make out that they do. Roll Eyes Tongue

I'll be the first to admit to liking some songs without really listening to the lyrics, I suppose thats what happens with a catchy tune. Then only to realise what its about after listening carefully. Not a nice surprise in some cases Grin

Well a certain quartet of ladies did a remake of the song " Voulez vouz couchez avec moi ce soir" without knowing the meaning of the text... nof if some of those ladies would say that to you... well.... uhm ok

I think she is wrong anyway both the Hippy and Punk periods, although probably started with the best intentions, both ended up being as cynical, cold and image obsessed as any musical "movement" today.

Beside that I find this song to be bland and her voice extremely irritating.

Oh yeah and Souichiro that song was originally a Genesis song. It sounded fairly similar but I actually prefer the Disturbed version seems to be a fuller sound.

I think that's the point of the song. Maybe there's more to it than you realise.

However, if you don't like it you don't like it.

It's hard to tell if she's trying to be ironic or the song really is just basically nostalgia.
