The BBC Evening news had an item about cyclists driving on the pedestrian section, and about how bad that is.
Apparently they never went to Amsterdam...

Well I can sort of see the objection, they can either have the road or the pavement but not both.

I never had any objection to cyclists riding on the pavement - providing they show a little consideration for pedestrians & fit warning devices on their cycles. They don't seem to realise that you can't hear them coming up behind you. The way they tear around here I'm surprised there's not more terrible accidents. In fact they're a bloomin' menace.

Cyclists should be shot! They're a bloomin' menace!!! Whether on the road (scratch your car) or on the pavement (mow down grandma). A lot of UK towns do now have dedicated cycle paths but they often don't use them!
There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!

Get in the line Ozzy, I am already locked and loaded.
You should try Germany. Cyclists are holier than holy. You hit one, does not matter how or why, your fault. Also Germany had a huge problem with cyclists riding the wrong way down one way streets. Rather than try and
Mattstop them, it was easier to change the law or allow them to do it. Personally I think it would have been a good money maker, but it easier to screw the car driver, we have number plates to catch us.

In Hungary it is even worse. Say a drunk is riding his bike the wrong way down a one way street and falls off in front of your car. You get done for manslaughter with a minimum of 15 years

In Germany, drunk riding, you can lose your driving licence.
So your Honour, I am banned from diving my car for riding my bike under the influence of a wet or two. I need a licence for my car but not my bike, and after the conviction for drunk riding I can carry on riding my bike, but not drive my car
